About the Panel

Katrina German is an award-winning entrepreneur specializing in communications, technology and digital strategy. As the CEO and Founder of EthicalDigital.ca, she and her team are changing the trajectory of the Internet through digital strategy, research and certification. She is a strong believer in measured results, radical creativity and using technology to improve workflow.. Katrina is also the Co-Founder of LightLeaf Solar, manufacturing solar panels for things that move.

David Johnston is a serial entrepreneur with a colourful story that started with his first business at 19 years old. 20 years of building real estate and construction businesses, failing, learning and growing have led him to found Omnee, a technology startup that is empowering homeowners to take care of their most valuable assets.

Nicholas Kolla is a Co-Founder at RUNNR Delivery which is a software company that is revolutionizing the local logistics space. He graduated from the college of engineering at USask with a degree in mechanical engineering and a certificate in technological innovation.

Alix Hayden has a background in life science research and prior to joining USask in 2017, she held various senior leadership and consulting roles in the human health and ag-tech sectors, most recently with a startup focusing on commercializing biomarker testing products for cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.  Alix is responsible for operations at the university’s Innovation Mobilization and Partnerships housed within the Office of the Vice President Research.
